Below are the steps to complete the Licensed Minister process.
If you have completed the requirements for Ministry Licensing and your Pastor recognizes the call of God on your life, he/she will communicate with the Regional Bishop and initiate the process. Your Pastor will also plan a setting forth conference to recommend the local church set you forth for the Minister's License.
This is the Licensure Documents step. During this time the Regional Office will send you the Licensed Minister Application to complete as well as the background check release form. You will also need to mail or email 3 Character References to the Credentialing Office. If you entered the process at the Lay Minister Level, some documents may already be submitted. You can email the references by clicking HERE.
This step is handled by the Regional Bishop. Once your documents have all been received, the Regional Bishop will verify and confirm all documents have been received, notify you that your application is approved, and consult with you about your choice of a Mentor.
